Welcome to the Crowded 30-day free trial of the Pro plan – a 100% free time to test out the powerful features of Pro and set your organization up for long-term success.
Tip #1: Upload contacts in bulk
On the Essentials plan, create an invite link to send to your community or invite manually. But with Pro and during the free trial, upload contacts in bulk via CSV.
This is a hack because it saves the headache of ensuring the relevant people have registered and time of manually checking who has completed the registration.
With the Upload Contacts feature, you can neatly upload lists to Crowded as contacts, and add tags to contacts simultaneously.
See a step-by-step breakdown of uploading contacts by CSV here.
Or watch this video all about the different ways to add contacts:
Upload lists of donors you want to send your fundraising links to, or potential/existing members of your organization. The contacts uploaded during the free trial will stay even after your trial ends, so it’s definitely worthwhile!
Tip #2: Open Sub Accounts
With the Pro free trial, open up to 2 Sub Accounts, which are “mini accounts” within your Crowded account. Get creative with how to use these accounts; they’re often used for planning events to give the point person the power to manage their budget, for sub committees or chapters, fundraising campaigns to keep the incoming streams of cash separate. There’s so many possibilities, so we recommend trying them out with your free trial.

Tip #3: Enable Recurring Payments on Collections
Enabling recurring payments on both open and fixed collections gives flexibility and ultimately drives more donations and dues-paying members. If you enable Recurring Payments on either open or fixed amount collections during your free trial, and a payer chooses to pay recurring, their recurring payment will continue even after your free trial ends.
Example: Your org is collecting $300 for dues, and someone doesn’t want to pay that all at once; they can break the payments down into more accessible chunks that they get charged for monthly, no matter if your organization chooses to upgrade or not.
