An “active customer” is defined as a customer with a bank account* through Crowded (Account) that has been logged into or has transactional activity within the last 12 months and is in good standing. For the avoidance of doubt, “in good standing” shall mean that your Account does not have a negative cash balance and you are not in breach of any agreements between you and Crowded or any of its affiliates or partners (e.g., you have not engaged in any illegal or fraudulent activity related to your Account or the Program and you have not misused your Account or the Program in any way).
* Crowded Technologies Inc is a financial technology company and is not a bank. Banking services provided by TransPecos Banks, SSB; Member FDIC.
- How the Program Works
A. Navigate to the Crowded Referral Form (www.bankingcrowded.com/referrals), and follow the on-screen instructions. You become a “Referrer” once you receive your unique referral link (“Personal Link”).
B. Share your referral link with other nonprofits that do not have an Account. When the new Customer (the “Referred Friend”) uses your Personal Link they will be prompted to apply to open an Account.
C. Once the Referred Friend successfully opens an Account, Crowded will verify the information to determine if the Referrer is eligible for a reward under the Program.
D. The reward amount varies based on whether the Referred Friend is a chapter/independent nonprofit or a Headquarters (HQ) nonprofit.
1. A HQ nonprofit is a parent nonprofit organization with at least 5 sub chapters and qualifies for a $100 referral award.
2. A chapter or independent nonprofit is either a sub-entity of a larger nonprofit organization, or an independent nonprofit organization with fewer than 5 sub-entities and qualifies for a $25 referral award.
3. The classification of a Referred Friend (HQ and chapter) is determined solely by Crowded. Crowded reserves the right to refuse processing of any Referral if it suspects a violation of these Terms.
E. Crowded will send an email to the Referrer confirming any referral award, to the email provided in the referral submission form. - Rewards
A. Referrers can earn a maximum of $500 in cumulative reward value per calendar year.

C. Eligible Referrers will receive an email.
D. Rewards might not have any cash value and cannot be transferred, sold, or exchanged.
E. Rewards will be issued within 30 business days of a successful referral, subject to these terms. - Restrictions
A. Referrers cannot refer themselves or create multiple, fictitious, or fake Accounts.
B.Individuals that are removed from the Crowded customer profile before the Referred Friend successfully opens an Account may not be eligible to receive the referral award.
C. Each individual may maintain only one Referrer account.
